AmberPoint Extends Market Leadership with Addition of New Customers and Partners CNA, ETRI, MedicAlert, BAE, SRA and Titan

Leading SOA Management Vendor Continues to Grow Customer Roster

Oakland, California, February 1, 2005 -- AmberPoint, the leading provider of service-oriented architecture (SOA) management solutions, announced today that the company has signed several marquee new customers and partners, including insurance provider CNA, healthcare services provider MedicAlert, Korean government agency Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) and leading systems integrators BAE, SRA and Titan. In addition to these named accounts, AmberPoint also signed leading customers across a variety of industries. The company also completed significant follow-on business with existing customers and grew the distribution of its complimentary developer’s edition software, AmberPoint Express, to more than 2,500 users across 61 countries.

In related news, AmberPoint announced today the growth of its customer traction worldwide in 2004 (see “AmberPoint Announces a Banner Year of Customer Growth across Industries and Geographies in 2004”).

The breadth of AmberPoint’s management capabilities, its non-invasive approach to managing service-oriented systems, and its native support for both .NET and Java platforms are consistently cited as reasons for selection of its solutions over competitors.

“The choice was obvious for us,” said David Harrington, vice president of Information Technology and CTO at MedicAlert. “Our requirements were very complex. We needed a management solution that would work out of the box, handle multiple platforms, and provide multiple implementation options. The field quickly narrowed to one vendor—AmberPoint.”

“We continue to gain customer traction both globally and across a number of industries,” said John Hubinger, president and CEO of AmberPoint. “We expect this trend to only continue as more and more organizations discover the value of service oriented architectures and the business world continues to move toward distributed, loosely coupled systems.”

AmberPoint provides the management layer that is critical for realizing the return on investment from distributed, heterogeneous service-oriented systems. AmberPoint’s solutions provide comprehensive management and security capabilities without requiring any changes to the services themselves. AmberPoint was the first Web services management vendor with solutions that run natively in both .NET and Java, enabling its software products to fully leverage the advantages of both prevailing Web services platforms.
