“We’re especially proud to receive this award because it’s based on endorsements from several of our larger customers,” said Gordon Loudon, vice president of AmberPoint’s Customer Experience Group. “Our growing leadership in the field of SOA management is directly attributable to our ability to understand and address market requirements. The Innovative Technology Award is testament to our success in these efforts and is therefore very gratifying.”
In order to be considered for the awards program, vendors had to be nominated by IT end users that do not produce or sell technology. Nominees were surveyed regarding their technology innovations and customer references were contacted for each vendor. A panel of outside experts and Computerworld editors reviewed 270 surveys before selecting 30 winners in 12 categories. “The winners of Computerworld’s Innovative Technology Awards exemplify today’s most creative and original technology thought leaders,” said Don Tennant, editor in chief of Computerworld. “They should be congratulated for their ability to develop products that create new advantages and opportunities for both current and prospective Fortune 1000 customers.”
