Oakland, California, August 31, 2004 -- AmberPoint today announced that the company has experienced significant growth in customers and partnerships in the past year, demonstrating strong market demand for its management solutions. The company recounts key product, customer and partner milestones today, solidifying its position as the leading provider of management solutions for service-oriented environments. Key milestones include AmberPoint's new product introductions, distribution of its complimentary developer’s edition software to thousands of users, strengthening of industry partnerships and an additional round of funding.

The company's product innovations have driven strong customer and partner traction in the last year. AmberPoint has the most software license revenues, paid customers, customers in production and referenceable customers in the market, having added many new customers in a number of industries. Some of the customers announced in the past year include: AgentWare, Aimbridge, Best Buy, Bouygues Telecom, British Telecommunications Plc (BT), Cegetel, Cole National, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), France Telecom, Fujitsu, Global eXchange Services, H&R Block Financial Advisors, Motorola, Northern Trust, Orange, Reuters, Rogue Wave, Samsung and Transaction Printer Group.

$8 Million Series C Round
AmberPoint received $8 million in series C funding with participation from Motorola and existing investors Crosslink Capital, Norwest Venture Partners and Sutter Hill Ventures.

Over the past twelve months, AmberPoint's product leadership has been confirmed through consistent product innovations.

  • AmberPoint introduced a complimentary developer’s edition of its management software, available for immediate download from the company website

  • AmberPoint rolled out a series of new products that have extended its market lead, including AmberPoint Service Level Manager, AmberPoint Exception Manager and AmberPoint Express.

  • In February, AmberPoint announced an upgrade to the AmberPoint Platform with extended capabilities for managing a variety of SOA components.

  • In June, AmberPoint announced another platform release with enhanced features for handling larger, more complex environments.

  • AmberPoint partnered with Microsoft to distribute AmberPoint Express in the box with commercial releases of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.

  • The company announced strategic reseller agreements with British Telecommunications Plc and Samsung.
