AmberPoint Signs New Customers across Industries and Geographies to Extend Market Leadership

SOA Runtime Governance Leader Signs Marquee New Customers in Insurance, Telecommunications, Financial Services, Healthcare and Government

Oakland, CA, November 14, 2006 -- AmberPoint announced today that it has added a number of new customers to the notable roster of companies that have selected its software. AmberPoint's latest customers include global leaders in insurance, telecommunications, financial services, and government, extending AmberPoint's leadership in the burgeoning market for service oriented architecture (SOA) runtime governance software. More than 100 organizations and government agencies are using AmberPoint's enterprise software products for runtime governance of their services-based systems.

In recent months, AmberPoint's greatest traction has been in the insurance industry. Leading insurance companies that have selected AmberPoint include Aflac, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and CIGNA in the United States, Mondial Assistance in France, and Univé in the Netherlands.

“Our services-based systems will deliver greater IT and economic efficiencies and will streamline our internal business processes, providing both significant performance improvements and greater flexibility," Bob Alberts, Project Manager for Univé. "However, the move to SOA introduces new complexity to our systems. AmberPoint’s SOA Management System will enable us to monitor and manage our new SOA infrastructure, ensuring that it's scalable, reliable and secure.”

Other new customers include Canadian telecommunications giant Bell Canada; the tax services division of financial services leader H&R Block; the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency of the U.S. government; the Ministerio de Economía y Hacienda (the Ministry of Economy and Finance) in Spain; and Italy's premiere yellow pages service, SEAT. AmberPoint also completed significant follow-on business with existing customers, signed a number of other new customers across a variety of industries, and completed licensing business with industry partners.

In addition to securing numerous new customers, AmberPoint recently completed a Cooperative Development Agreement with SAP, the world's leading supplier of enterprise resource planning software. AmberPoint also secured top honors for production use of its products by leading customers, including the InfoWorld 100 for Motorola (see related news, "AmberPoint Customer Motorola Wins InfoWorld 100 Award"); the Technology Managers Forum Best Practices Award, which also lauded AmberPoint's work with Motorola; and the Network World Enterprise All-Stars Award for MedicAlert Foundation's use of AmberPoint.

"Our vision from day one was to apply our vast experience in distributed systems to helping companies solve the challenges of SOA," said John Hubinger, president and CEO of AmberPoint. "So it's especially gratifying to see the customer traction we're gaining. As these large organizations begin to reap the benefits of SOA though use of our software, we consistently win repeat business from them, further validating the value we bring to the table."
