Vice President of EMEA, Willie Kirkpatrick
Willie Kirkpatrick will focus on expanding AmberPoint’s EMEA presence and growing market demand for its SOA management solutions. One of his first objectives will be to build on AmberPoint’s European base by increasing its regional footprint and service. He will also work closely with existing customers and partners to ensure high levels of delivery and growth.
Kirkpatrick will build on AmberPoint's already significant presence in customer installations around the globe. In related news today, AmberPoint also announced that it has added a number of new customers, extending its leadership in the service oriented architecture (SOA) runtime governance market. The customers include companies and governments in Australia, Chile, France, Japan, Norway and Spain (see "AmberPoint Signs Prominent New Customers to Extend Global Market Leadership").
With an outstanding sales record in business and sales management, Kirkpatrick brings more than twenty years of seasoned IT experience to AmberPoint. After serving as director of Forte Software Division at Sun, Northern Europe, and prior to joining AmberPoint as VP EMEA, Willie founded and successfully ran his own executive coaching business. At Forte Software, he reported directly to the company’s president and ran twenty-five percent of worldwide revenues across Northern Europe as well as the distributor business. This followed successful sales and management positions at Ingres and Oracle. He holds a BSc Honours 2.1 in Physics from the University of Manchester and spent his early career flying Jaguars and carrying out the duties of a flying instructor in the Royal Air Force. He will be based at the AmberPoint EMEA headquarters in London.
Vice President and General Counsel, Dan Lascell

He has more than a decade of legal experience representing technology companies. Before joining AmberPoint, he served as in-house counsel to Corning, Inc., and was vice president of legal services at webMethods, Inc. Prior to moving in-house, he practiced at several law firms, including Gray, Cary (now DLA Piper) and Hunton & Williams. He is a 1992 honors graduate of Hamilton College, with a B.A. in music, and a 1995 graduate of Cornell Law School.
"We are delighted to add people of this caliber to our executive team as we continue our expansion plans," said John Hubinger, AmberPoint CEO. "It’s important to us to continue our success overseas, where Willie has an in-depth understanding of building and running software businesses.
