What:
Service oriented architectures hold great promise to improve the re-usability of IT assets and increase the responsiveness of the IT organization to changing business requirements. A key enabler of adaptive SOA-based systems is the use of policies, which are more concise, easier to understand and simpler to change than code. In this informative webcast Frank Kenney, principal research analyst at Gartner, will discuss the use of policies for governing SOA-based systems. He will present the advantages, potential pitfalls and architectural considerations to this approach. Sean Fitts, chief architect for SOA management leader AmberPoint, will follow with a brief review of AmberPoint’s unique approach to the use of policies.
