Forbes Honors Two AmberPoint Board Members as Leading Venture Capitalists

Promod Haque and William Younger Recognized in Forbes "Midas List" for the Fifth Year in a Row

Oakland, California, February 13, 2006 -- AmberPoint, the industry’s leading provider of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) management software, announced today that for the fifth consecutive year AmberPoint board members Bill Younger of Sutter Hill Ventures and Promod Haque of Norwest Venture Partners are included on the Forbes "Midas List,” which honors the world's best deal makers in technology or life sciences.

The Forbes Midas list identifies individuals who deploy venture capital to create wealth for their investors and build valuable, long-lasting companies. This list ranks the market capitalization of a venture-backed company on the close of its first day of trading or the purchase price in an acquisition as well as the value of each investment since going public or being sold. Ranking also depends on a candidate’s length of involvement in and depth of influence on a startup. Only tech and life sciences companies that have gone public or been acquired within the past five years are considered. Results are based on extensive reporting and surveys sent to 800 professionals, including angels, bankers, lawyers, recruiters and venture capitalists

“For the last five years the Forbes Midas List has acknowledged our very talented board members, so there's clearly no mistake as to their ongoing influence and leadership in the industry,” said John Hubinger, AmberPoint CEO. “We're pleased to have such luminaries on our team. Though they both have enjoyed much success, they continue to be very actively involved with AmberPoint and have provided invaluable contributions to the success and rapid growth of our company.”
