John Hubinger
President and Chief Executive Officer

Before assembling the founding team at AmberPoint, John was vice president and general manager of Worldwide Sales for the Software Tools Division at Sun Microsystems, reporting to the president of Software Platforms and Products. Prior to that, John was vice president of Sales at Forte Software, which was acquired by SUN in 1999.

John has held vice president and general manager roles in Sales and Marketing at two additional startups that went public — Camenco and KnowledgeWare. He began his career at IBM as a software systems engineer and later joined Sales and Marketing in IBM's National Accounts Division. His first employment was as an engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. John holds a B.A. degree in Economics, cum Laude, from University of California at Berkeley.

Paul Butterworth
Chief Technical Officer

As AmberPoint's Chief Technology Officer, Paul is responsible for setting the technical strategy for the company's industry-leading SOA runtime governance software. Paul's vision and leadership at AmberPoint were recognized with the InfoWorld CTO 25 award in 2007. Prior to founding AmberPoint, Paul was the Chief Technology Officer for Forte Tools at Sun, where he was voted a Distinguished Engineer by his peers. As a founder of Forte Software, Paul was the Chief Architect and Senior Vice President of Engineering and Customer Services. Before founding Forte, Paul served as Chief Architect and Director of Product Engineering at Ingres Corporation. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Information and Computer Science from University of California at Irvine.

Greg Batti
Vice President of Engineering

Greg served as director of Product Development for the Forte for Java development products at Sun. At Forte, Greg served as vice president of Engineering, responsible for managing and delivering all of the Forte products. Greg was the director of DBMS Development at Ingres Corporation and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from University of California at Berkeley with degrees in Computer Science and Statistics.

Ed Horst
Vice President of Marketing and Product Strategy

Ed has more than twenty years of experience in planning, marketing and developing distributed systems, management frameworks and development tools. Prior to his current role at AmberPoint, he was the vice president of Marketing at OnKilter, a strategy execution software vendor, and Provato, an electronic contract management solution provider that was acquired by I-Many. Previously, he was a founding member of the marketing team at Forte and held various engineering and product management positions at Ingres. In addition to his work at leading software companies, Ed served for several years as an I.T. Director for Atlas Die, a Midwestern manufacturing firm, where he was an early implementer of several early-stage technologies.

Gordon Loudon
Vice President of Customer Experience

Gordon was the vice president of Engineering Operations, Technical Support and Training at Forte Software. He then carried on with these duties at the Software Tools Division at Sun. Before joining Forte, he was director of Customer Services and Support at Ingres Australia. Previously, he worked as a software engineering manager at Fujitsu Australia, Ltd.

Mike Corbisiero
Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Mike brings to AmberPoint more than twenty-two years of sales and marketing experience. His background includes director of sales, telecommunications markets for the Software Tools Division at Sun Microsystems and iPlanet Software organizations. Mike brings startup sales management experience from Forte Software, Ingres Corporation and Trilogy Software. He worked in various sales and marketing roles for Digital Equipment and General Electric. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

John Emerson
Vice President, US Federal Sales and Global SIs

John served as the worldwide director of Forte Products for Sun. He has held sales and management positions at Forte Software, Hewlett-Packard and IBM. John holds an M.B.A. in Finance from George Washington University and a B.A. in Marketing from the University of Maryland.

Gary Rinedollar
Vice President, Business Development and Asia Pacific

Gary brings to AmberPoint more than twenty years of sales and marketing experience. He was a director of sales for the Software Tools Division at Sun Microsystems. Gary developed the Channel Sales organization at Forte Software. He also held various sales and technical roles at Hewlett Packard and Texas Instruments. Gary holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Math from the University of Illinois.

Willie Kirkpatrick
Vice President, EMEA

Willie Kirkpatrick brings more than twenty years of seasoned IT experience to AmberPoint. After serving as Director of Forte Software Division at Sun, Northern Europe, and prior to joining AmberPoint as VP EMEA, Willie founded and successfully ran his own executive coaching business. At Forte Software, he reported directly to the company’s president and ran twenty-five percent of worldwide revenues across Northern Europe as well as the distributor business. This followed successful sales and management positions at Ingres and Oracle. He holds a BSc Honours 2.1 in Physics from the University of Manchester and spent his early career flying Jaguars and carrying out the duties of a flying instructor in the Royal Air Force.

Bob Patel
Vice President of Sales, Northeast

Bob Patel has twenty years of experience in IT, including ten years of enterprise software sales success. He has held a variety of sales and management positions at Sun and Forte Software. Prior to Forte, Bob served as a Chief Architect for the Department of Defense, where he led the design and implementation of network management systems for the US Army. Bob earned his M.S. in Computer Engineering and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Rutgers University.

Christeen Peters
Vice President of Human Resources

Christeen has more than twenty years of experience in human resources. Prior to AmberPoint, she worked as an HR consultant to a portfolio of start-up companies. Additionally, she served as human resources manager at GMAC Global Relocation Services, Litton Computer Services, Vanstar, Sizes Unlimited and Atherton Industries. She earned her B.A. in Industrial Relations at California State University, Fresno, a certification of Training and Human Resources Development from University of California, Santa Cruz, and holds a lifetime Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation.

Nick Telford
Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller

Nick served in controller and director of finance roles with Internet Pictures/PictureWorks (digital imaging software). Nick brings more than fifteen years of experience in accounting and finance with backgrounds at Kenetech Windpower, Inc., and Ernst & Young. He holds a B.S. Degree in Finance/Accounting, cum Laude, from California State University at Hayward and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Dan Lascell
Vice President and General Counsel

Dan Lascell brings to AmberPoint a wealth of experience in software IP, open source, contracts and the legal aspects of running a successful software company. He has more than a decade of legal experience representing technology companies. Before joining AmberPoint, he served as in-house counsel to Corning, Inc. and was vice president of legal services at webMethods, Inc. Prior to moving in-house, he practiced at several law firms, including Gray, Cary (now DLA Piper) and Hunton & Williams. He is a 1992 honors graduate of Hamilton College, with a B.A. in music, and a 1995 graduate of Cornell Law School.

Sean Fitts
Chief Architect

Sean plays a leading role in setting AmberPoint’s product roadmap and technology vision. Prior to AmberPoint, Sean co-founded CrossWeave, where he served as president and CEO. CrossWeave was acquired by AmberPoint in 2002. Sean held positions as lead architect and engineer at Forte Software, where he guided the overall architecture of the SynerJ product suite. Sean also held positions as senior software engineer at Sybase and Management Dynamics. He has a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from Princeton University, has been awarded a patent, and has another pending.
